British Policy on Kidnapped Sailors:


As I am sure all of you have heard several British sailors were kidnapped by Iranians in the territorial waters of Iraq.  This is quite simply an act of war.  The government of Iran is simply testing the waters (excuse the pun) for further acts of war against the west.  Iran wants to see how far they can push the west to get an incremental response.  A few sailors today, a ship tomorrow, perhaps an airliner or two.  Where will the European Union draw the line.  Make no mistake this is on the EU not the British alone otherwise what is the point of the EU.  They are to act in solidarity on such matters.  Sadly, they will do nothing.  A measured response by the United States, the true ally of the Brits is what is needed.  If Iran understands that the US will not hesitate with a military response to any aggression by Iran against allies of the United States these actions will cease or Iran will cease to exist.  Either way the world will be a safer place for all!
